About

Pensiunea Dacica – Winter Workation is a seasonal rural coliving and remote-work stay in the mountains of Transylvania, Romania, available from 1 November to 28 February. We offer 8 private rooms, each with its own bathroom, for up to 16 guests. The same room rate applies for one or two people. Remote workers have several shared places to work depending on their mood: a quiet library with four large work tables and over 4,000 books, a comfortable fireside lounge, and a spacious dining room that can also be used for laptop work. Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout the guesthouse. For longer stays, guests have access to a shared fully equipped kitchen, washing machines and a tumble dryer. Weekly room cleaning and linen change, heating, utilities and private parking are included. Because we are deliberately located away from town, we also help with groceries: twice a week, guests can send us their shopping list and we bring the groceries back during our regular trips to town; guests only pay the shop receipt. An optional self-service breakfast is available, and occasionally, on request and for an additional charge, we can also prepare Romanian dishes. The guesthouse is surrounded by forests, hills and hiking routes, close to the Dacian fortress of Piatra Roșie and other archaeological sites in the Orăștie Mountains. This is not a busy city coworking environment. It is intended for digital nomads and remote workers looking for quiet, nature, shared living spaces and a slower winter base where they can focus during the day and enjoy the mountains after work. Winter Workation rates per private room, for 1 or 2 guests: 7 nights – €280 14 nights – €500 30 nights – €840 Minimum stay: 7 nights.
