Coliving had to invent its own suppliers

Most property software assumes one tenant, one unit, one lease, one payment. Shared living breaks all four. The room is the unit, the lease is measured in weeks, the community is half the product, and the person paying may be three time zones from the building.

Operators have spent years working around tools built for something else — spreadsheets bridging a system that cannot model a room, bank transfers chased by hand, marketing copy written for hotels. The companies fixing that did not wander in from general proptech. They chose this market.
