Vegans, vegetarians, and plant-curious eaters who want their food culture as a default rather than something to negotiate at every shared meal. Demographics span students to retirees, with heavy overlap with the wellness-retreat and yogi populations.
Vegan-only kitchen policies (in most cases), shared plant-based meals 2-4 times a week, cooking workshops with local vegan chefs, and a community of residents who don't need to be convinced about why you eat the way you do. Common areas typically have plant-forward libraries, herb gardens, and connections to local CSA / co-op networks.
Choose vegan coliving when the default-food culture matters daily. The friction-reduction of not having to explain your diet or share a kitchen with bacon-smell is the under-rated benefit. Best paired with locations where plant-based options are dense in the surrounding food scene (Lisbon, Berlin, Bali, Mexico City).
