Hardware engineers, robotics enthusiasts, electronics tinkerers, and DIY builders. Demographics skew 25-45 with a mix of professional engineers and serious hobbyists. Mix is heavily international and tooling-conscious.
On-site workshops with 3D printers, laser cutters, soldering stations, and basic electronics tooling. Shared component inventory. Project nights where residents work on personal builds. Many operators run partnerships with local maker spaces for advanced equipment.
Choose maker coliving when the tooling access is the differentiator. Building a personal workshop runs $5-20k in equipment that sits unused 80% of the time; coliving makes serious making affordable. The peer knowledge transfer is the bigger win.
