Reporters, foreign correspondents, documentary producers, podcast producers, and media professionals on assignment. Demographics span 25-55 and skew international. Many residents are on extended-assignment reporting (3-6 months in a city).
Secure communication setups (VPN guidance, signal-secured rooms), interview-ready meeting rooms with audio quality, transcription tools, library + research resources, and operator partnerships with local fixers and translators. Quiet zones for filing deadlines.
Choose journalist coliving when the assignment infrastructure (secure comms, interview rooms, local fixers) and the peer network of fellow reporters are the priorities. The on-the-ground knowledge transfer about local sources is the under-rated benefit.
