Independent contractors and gig-economy workers — Uber/Lyft drivers, food delivery riders, TaskRabbit operators, plus freelance professionals like Upwork/Fiverr workers. Demographics span 22-50 with a mix of full-time gig workers and side-hustle residents.
Flexible schedules with no enforced quiet hours during early morning or late night, secure vehicle/bike storage, accountant-and-tax peer networks for the 1099 paperwork, and operator-organized health-insurance resource sharing.
Choose gig-worker coliving when the schedule flexibility (working when others are sleeping) and the peer community of fellow contractors are the priorities. The 1099 tax knowledge transfer alone often saves residents thousands in their first year.
