Professional chefs, food writers, restaurant entrepreneurs, and serious home cooks. Demographics span 25-55 with a mix of working pros and food enthusiasts. Mix is heavily international with a strong overlap with culinary tourism.
Restaurant-grade shared kitchens, weekly community dinners cooked by residents on rotation, food-market tours with local chefs, and operator partnerships with restaurants for stages or trail shifts. Common areas often have substantial cookbook libraries.
Choose food-focused coliving when the kitchen infrastructure and the peer community of serious cooks are the priorities. The shared-meal economics work well (someone cooks for 8 people, others reciprocate), and the local-restaurant network is the under-rated benefit.
