If you run your property on Mangobeds, everything a listing needs is already in there. The rooms, the monthly prices, the deposit, the photographs of the kitchen somebody finally got right, the rule about pets. Putting all of it into a second website is an afternoon, and most operators never quite get to the end of it.
You no longer have to. Mangobeds now publishes directly into BookMyColiving. You paste in one key, choose the rooms you want listed, and press a button.
What the two do
Mangobeds is a hospitality management system used by colivings, hostels, guesthouses, retreats and vacation rentals. Bookings, live availability, check-in, payments and guest messaging run from one dashboard, with channel sync so the same bed is never sold twice.
BookMyColiving is a marketplace for coliving and shared living. Listing is free, there is no commission on anything that comes through it, and enquiries go straight to you rather than through us. Every listing gets its own page built to rank in search, and your company gets a profile that collects all of your buildings in one place.
Why connect them
Two reasons, and the second is the one that matters more over time.
The first is the afternoon you get back. The integration carries the property across as it already exists, so nobody retypes an address or re-uploads twenty photographs.
The second is drift. A listing typed in by hand is accurate on the day it is published and slowly stops being true: the price changes in March, a room comes out of the pool, the deposit moves. Nobody remembers the marketplace. A guest arrives on a page quoting a price you stopped charging months ago. Because the connection re-syncs, the listing keeps matching the system you actually run the building from.
What comes across
- Property name, description, website and contact details
- Address and city
- Photos, both of common areas and of individual rooms
- Amenities and facilities
- House rules, derived from your check-in and check-out times and your pet and smoking policies
- Rooms, with monthly price, deposit and bills, in the currency you already price in
That last point is worth stating plainly: prices arrive in your own currency and stay there. If you price in euros, your listing stores euros. Someone browsing from another country sees the amount converted at the day's rate for orientation, but the number you set is the number on your listing.
Setting it up
Five minutes, once.
- Create a BookMyColiving account and verify your email. Verification matters here: the API key cannot be generated until the address is confirmed, because the key can publish listings under your company name.
- Generate your API key. In the operator dashboard, go to Settings and generate a key. It stays visible there, so you can come back and copy it again. If you ever regenerate it, the old key keeps working for seven days, so a live integration does not break in the middle of the swap.
- Paste it into Mangobeds. Apps, then BookMyColiving, then paste.
- Choose what to list. Select the rooms you want published and confirm the pricing on each. Rooms you leave out stay private.
- Set the coliving types and minimum stay, so the listing reaches people looking for the kind of stay you actually offer.
- Press Publish on BookMyColiving.
Your listing goes to our review queue rather than straight to the public site. We check that the photos load, the address resolves and the room prices look like real prices. That normally takes a day. It is the reason a renter can trust what they find, and it applies to every listing including ours.
After you publish
When something changes in Mangobeds, press Sync to BookMyColiving. The listing updates in place rather than becoming a second copy.
Enquiries arrive in your BookMyColiving dashboard and by email. You reply directly to the person asking. We do not sit in the middle of the conversation, take a booking fee or charge for the introduction.
What it costs
Nothing, from either direction. Mangobeds includes the integration on every plan. Listing on BookMyColiving is free, with no commission on bookings and no fee per enquiry.
If you use a different system
The integration is built on our public v1 API, not a private arrangement between two companies. Any property management system can build the same thing: create and update properties, upload photos, manage rooms in their native currency, and receive enquiries as webhooks. The full specification is on our API documentation page, there is no approval step and no fee, and a key takes a minute to generate.
